ITV4 was launched in 2005 and is a male orientated channel broadcasting sports, police shows, US comedies and dramas.

ITV4 was expected to replace the TV channel Men and Motors, however this never happened and both channels co-exist. Some sports broadcasts moved over from Men and Motors to ITV4. ITV4 is a sister channel to ITV, ITV2 and ITV3.
ITV4 has a time shift channel broadcasting content an hour later on ITV4+1.
